Memory for Memory follows the most detailed and current data security processes as outlined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology Guidelines for Media Sanitization in NIST 800-88.   By following this process, Memory for Memory ensures that:

  • A detailed sanitization technique is employed for clearing, purging, or destroying all various forms of storage media Hard Drives
      • Optical Media (CDs, etc)
      • Data Tapes
      • Memory Sticks
      • Cell Phones, Tablets and eReaders
      • We certify, in writing with a signed Certificate of Destruction, that the work has been completed, rendering all data into an unrecoverable state following the NIST 800-88 Guidelines for Media Sanitization.

On-Site Hard Drive Destruction

1 drive or 1,000 drives – Memory for Memory can come to your home or business and have your hard drives destroyed on-site.  Hard Drive destruction and shredding happens in your home or business while you witness the process.  In all cases, hard drive serial numbers can be scanned and recorded as an additional security and tracking process.

Data Tape Shredding

Backup tape – Reel to Reel, DLT, etc. – can be shredded on-site as well.  Tapes are shredded to an unrecoverable state. Contact us for more details.
